The membership of Healing Through Remembering is necessarily diverse, with individuals from the victims and survivors sector, ex-prisoners and combatants, ex-security services, churches, academia and others. When the Healing Through Remembering Initiative was first being developed, a diversity committee was set up to identify potential members with an eye to including as many voices from as many backgrounds as possible.
As members were identified, they were asked to come to meetings as individuals, not as representatives of whatever group(s) with which they associated.
