Day of Reflection 2025 – Borderlands event at the Black Box, Belfast

On Tuesday 17 June, Healing Through Remembering was invited to take part in the monthly Borderlands gathering in the Black Box in Belfast. The evening explored the theme of Remembering through story, reflection, music and film. Jonny Clarke from the Corrymeela Community and Claire Humphreys co-hosted the event.
In a conversation with Jonny Clarke, Cate Turner, director of HTR, explained the background of the Day of Reflection initiative and outlined the objectives of the Day. Jo Berry and Pat Magee told the story of their unlikely friendship and Dr Kieran McEvoy discussed the issue of legacy 27 years after the Belfast Good Friday Agreement. Paul Hutchinson’s Vacancies, a short documentary about the conflict, was also screened.
